Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange joins SWIFT network — ADX infrastructure announcement 25 September 2026

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) said on 25 September 2026 that it has set up its SWIFT Business Identifier Code (BIC), ADSEAEADXXX, and is now part of the global SWIFT network.

ADX said the activation of SWIFT connectivity marks a milestone in enhancing its post-trade infrastructure and reinforces its position as a globally connected marketplace. Through SWIFT, the exchange can facilitate secure, standardised financial messaging with custodians, central securities depositories (CSDs), international CSDs (ICSDs), and other market participants worldwide.

The move is intended to strengthen ADX’s links with the global financial ecosystem, support more efficient cross-border interactions, and help international investors seeking access to the UAE’s capital markets. ADX also framed the step as a foundation for future market-infrastructure initiatives and as aligned with Abu Dhabi’s push as an international financial centre.
