Dubai Financial Market PJSC said investors can now complete the entire DFM onboarding process digitally after EFG Hermes UAE LLC launched end-to-end account opening through its EFG Hermes ONE trading and investment app.

The service lets users obtain a DFM investor number (NIN) and open a trading account from a mobile phone, without paper forms or a branch visit, according to Gulf News reporting on 27 September 2026 citing exchange and broker officials.

Once onboarding is finished inside the app, investors can access DFM-listed securities without the traditional paper-based registration path. The launch comes as DFM reported 42,864 new investors in the first half of 2026, with foreign nationals accounting for 71.4 per cent of that inflow.

H1 2026 traded value reached Dh119.5 billion, up 40.4 per cent year on year, while average daily traded value rose 45.1 per cent to Dh1.004 billion. Foreign investors accounted for 51 per cent of traded value and institutions 71.2 per cent. Market capitalisation stood at Dh981.6 billion at end-June.

Khalifa Rabba, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Financial Market, said digital onboarding shortens the journey from deciding to enter the market to starting to trade, and reflects the exchange’s digital infrastructure push with regulated platforms.

Afra Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Central Securities Depository, welcomed the EFG Hermes launch as making the first registration step easier as the investor base expands. EFG Hermes executives said the service builds on the firm’s long-standing relationship with DFM and aims to lower barriers for new retail participants in UAE capital markets.
