Alef Education nine-month profit rises to AED 385.4 million

The ADX-listed edtech company said nine-month net profit rose 5.7% to AED 385.4 million and guided to about 4% profit growth for 2026.

ADX-listed Alef Education Holding PLC said nine-month 2026 net profit rose 5.7% to AED 385.4 million; its interim financial statements show profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of AED 385,397,055 versus AED 364,707,122 a year earlier.

Alef Education Holding PLC, which is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, said nine-month net profit rose 5.7% year on year to AED 385.4 million, according to its results press release filed on ADX on 3 November. Its interim financial statements show profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of AED 385,397,055 for the nine months ended 30 September 2026, compared with AED 364,707,122 a year earlier.

What happened

Basic and diluted earnings per share were 5.51 fils, compared with 5.21 fils in the first nine months of 2025, the financial statements showed. Revenue from contracts with customers was AED 605,335,246, compared with AED 572,764,770. The company put revenue at AED 605.3 million in its press release, up 5.7% year on year.

For the third quarter, profit for the period was AED 149,041,572, compared with AED 132,442,749 in the third quarter of 2025, and revenue from contracts with customers was AED 243,774,324, compared with AED 215,483,005, according to the financial statements.

The interim condensed consolidated financial statements were reviewed, not audited, by KPMG Lower Gulf Limited, which issued an unmodified review conclusion dated 3 November 2026. KPMG noted that the statements for the nine months ended 30 September 2025 were reviewed, and the statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 were audited, by another auditor. The board of directors approved the condensed financial statements for the period at a meeting on Tuesday, 3 November, according to the board meeting results filed on ADX.

Why it matters

The company said revenue growth was driven primarily by Support and Services, where revenue rose 40.7%, reflecting an inflation-linked increase in IT devices passed through to clients and higher student numbers, while Education Solutions revenue grew 0.7%.

Chief Executive Officer Geoffrey Alphonso said in the press release that "our nine-month results show steady growth in both revenue and profit, underlining the resilience of our recurring government contracts and debt-free balance sheet."

What to watch next

The company said in its press release that it is providing FY 2026 guidance of revenue growth of approximately 3% year on year and net profit growth of approximately 4% year on year, with a net profit margin above 63%.

"As we enter the final quarter, we remain focused on execution, turning our pipeline into results and delivering lasting returns for our shareholders," Alphonso said.
