Aldar–Mubadala JV buys Masdar City Square for AED 918 million
Aldar and Mubadala’s joint venture acquired Masdar City Square for AED 918 million, lifting their Masdar City portfolio to about AED 4.7 billion, according to an ADX disclosure.

Aldar Properties PJSC and Mubadala Investment Company have jointly acquired Masdar City Square for AED 918 million through their joint venture established in 2024, according to a disclosure dated 16 September 2026.
The deal expands the partners’ income-generating real estate portfolio in Masdar City to about AED 4.7 billion. Masdar City Square comprises more than 47,000 square metres of Grade A commercial space across seven office buildings.
Completed in the first quarter of 2026, the complex is 99% occupied. It holds LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certifications. Tenants include TAQA, the Department of Energy, Emirates College and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
The acquisition deepens the joint venture’s presence in Masdar City, which Aldar and Mubadala described as a hub for clean energy, artificial intelligence and sustainable urban development.
