Sudatel H1 revenue rises 29.8% to USD 278.9m; net income USD 14.7m

Sudatel Telecommunications Group Company Limited reported consolidated revenue of USD 278.9 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, up 29.8% from USD 214.9 million a year earlier, in a results release filed with Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Operating profit was USD 49.6 million, down from USD 68.1 million in H1 2025, and net income was USD 14.7 million, or USD 0.0106 a share. Second-quarter revenue rose 18.9% to USD 138.5 million.

Operating profit was USD 49.6 million (H1 2025: USD 68.1 million), reflecting higher depreciation after the revaluation of Sudan’s non-current assets and elevated diesel fuel costs while hybrid energy solutions are installed. Net income was USD 14.7 million, equal to earnings per share of USD 0.0106. Second-quarter revenue rose 18.9% to USD 138.5 million.
The group allocated USD 61.8 million to network infrastructure, spectrum and digital platforms. Its customer base reached about 10.3 million, including 7.9 million in Sudan, 1.9 million at Expresso Senegal and 0.8 million at Chinguitel in Mauritania.
Sudani recorded revenue of USD 220.8 million and net income of USD 35.5 million in the first half. About 150 network sites were recovered and commissioned in the second quarter. SAH, the digital financial services joint venture with Africa Gulf Bank launched in April 2026, had 867,000 registered customers by 30 June and has since surpassed one million; Sudatel holds a 60% equity stake.
Expresso Senegal reported first-half revenue of USD 26.0 million, down about 7% year-on-year, and a net loss of USD 8.5 million. Chinguitel’s revenue rose 22% to USD 25.2 million with a net loss of USD 6.9 million; the unit launched Mauritania’s first commercial 5G services in the second quarter.
